About Carnation Spark
Carnation Spark is a meeting intelligence service built on a simple premise: the customer chooses the trust boundary.
Mainstream tools made a different choice. They decided, on their customers’ behalf, that meeting audio could train models, feed sales databases, and sit in vendor clouds indefinitely. In 2025, that decision caught up with them in court.
The positioning
- Public cloud tier. Fast, commodity LLM inference. Good for low-sensitivity meetings. Clear retention controls.
- Private cloud tier. Dedicated compute on Canadian infrastructure. Your models, your data, your keys.
- Fully segregated tier. Single-tenant deployment. Air-gapped options available. For workloads that can’t cross a boundary, ever.
You pick the tier per meeting, per team, or per policy.
What we don’t do
We don’t claim blanket “no third-party AI.” Claims like that are how Otter and Fireflies ended up in class action discovery. Instead: we document exactly which vendors touch which data at which tier, and we let the customer decide.
No founder bios here. The choice of anonymity is deliberate, we want the product evaluated on its architecture, not the founder’s LinkedIn.
